eFlorist at Mother’s Day – our best selling bouquets

Mother’s Day finds us all extremely busy. Florists spend weeks planning stock, staff and delivery resource and then a manic few days working all the hours available creating bouquets and arrangements, working the shop counter and making deliveries.

At eFlorist we also plan Mother’s Day months in advance, creating point of sale, range review, staffing and sales strategy. Each year we learn something new from our many customers and the feedback received from florists in invaluable. This year we have received requests for more information about how eFlorist performed across the Mother’s Day period.

The most popular products purchased through the eFlorist consumer website were:

  • Soft Bouquet (BQT-SOFT) - £24.95
  • Rainbow Delight (AQP0950) - £29.95
  • Vibrant Bouquet (BQT-VIBRANT) - £24.95
  • Rose and Lily Delight (AQP0927) - £30.95
  • Pink Tulip Sensation (AQP0948) - £29.95

The Soft Bouquet and Rainbow Delight were the best sellers by far. It seems this year more than ever consumers were after value for money with the majority of people being split towards the Soft Bouquet with its traditional Mother's Day colours and the Rainbow Delight for something a bit different and bright. When taking into account orders placed via the eFlorist Contact Centre along with the online sales the Rainbow Delight comes out a clear winner.

We have spent a lot of time and effort developing an eFlorist portal that offers unbeatable value to retail florist shops but not at the expense of increasing the number of orders we, eFlorist, generate for you to deliver. The online and corporate teams have done extremely well in acquiring orders for florists to fulfil to the point where eFlorist has increased its directly gathered orders for delivery over Mother’s Day by greater than 20% on last year. This work will continue as will the further development of the eFlorist portal to allow greater control and management of your individual business needs.
