Flowers for the Pope

Nicola Paterson owner of eFlorist member Nix Flower Studio in Whitton, Twickenham was picked to do the flowers for Pope Benedict’s visit to Twickenham in September.

“We had to submit a proposal to the organising event company WRG,” said Nicola. “So it just goes to show that big events don’t only attract the ‘Big Flower Companies’. We local florists have a chance too.”

“The Pope was visiting St Mary’s University College in Twickenham and we did two large pedestal arrangements for the chapel as well as flowers for the mantelpiece and fireplace in the Waldegrave Drawing Room and in the Pope’s private rest room.”

Nix Flower Studio used the papal colours of yellow and white, using mainly roses, gladioli, Antirrhinums and some orchids.

Hope you used your eFlorist system to register WRG in your customer database Nicola for future events!
