Over 120,000 plants and flowers from across the globe will provide a colourful atmosphere for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Planting for the 250 acre Olympic Park in London is nearing completion and will create a colourful garden and meadowland on what was formerly industrial land. The display is in celebration of the British passion for gardening and recognition of our status as leading horticulturalists.
Olympic Delivery Authority Chairman John Armitt said: 'The 2012 Garden and wildflower meadows will help create a festival atmosphere right at the entrance to the Olympic Park during and after the Games.’
