American politician Bob Kerrey once said: “Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change.”
A random act of kindness can brighten someone’s day, maybe even their week and give them something to remember for years to come. It could be as simple as helping someone cross the road, buying them a coffee or even to send flowers and Monday 17th February will be celebrating these selfless acts of kindness.
As simple as this idea is, these gestures are important, you never know how much the recipient of this act may have needed the pick-me-up and it makes the world a much nicer place. It really is as simple as giving way to someone on your drive to work. For more ideas though, take a look at the Random Acts of Kindness website here.
One individual shared:
“I know that whenever I receive flowers from someone - friend or even a stranger - my day is always brighter. I go around smiling more, laughing more, just feeling brighter and happier the entire day. You don't always need a reason to give someone flowers, other than to see them smile and know that, at least for a little while, their day is that much more cheerful.”
These acts of generosity and selflessness don’t have to be limited to this one day a year, every day can be a day to take part and make someone smile. With our same day delivery, you can send flowers to friends, family and colleagues and make sure they are happy, noticed and remembered.
